Social Advocacy

The call for social advocacy traces its origin back to biblical days as evidenced throughout the bible.  It is written, “Speak out for those who cannot speak, for the rights of all the destitute. Defend the rights of the poor and needy”. —Proverbs 31:8-9

Social Advocacy is the representation done by anyone committed to the concerns of any particular group in society. Such concerns may be based on rights and/or needs. At the Community Center for Social Advocacy we respond to God’s instructions concerning advocacy.  We speak out against issues that might at times perpetuate wrong behaviors to the disadvantaged, voiceless and weaker members of our communities and society.
